Communications/abstracts
Official languages of the symposium are Portuguese, Spanish and English. Some of the thematic sessions may take place only in English.
Scientific contributions to MIA 2018 are invited in the form of oral or poster presentation, together with a two-page summary.
Contributions submitted to MIA 2018 will be scrutinized by the Scientific Committee which reserves the right of acceptance/refusal, and of determining the presentation form (oral/poster) and thematic session. Abstracts should be submitted using the template available in the symposium website and in the 2nd Announcement. The Book of Abstracts will only include authors’ contributions with paid registration at the symposium.
A 20 min time slot will be allocated for oral presentations (15 min + 5 min discussion) and organised in chaired sessions according to the symposium topics to disclose in the 2nd Announcement. Audiovisual facilities will be available in conference rooms. Poster presentations require the presence of author(s) during the time slot allocated in the programme. Maximum poster size: 120 cm (height) x 65 cm (width).

The Organising Committee of MIA 2018 is in contact with several scientific journals indexed in SCOPUS, with the prospect of a journal publication for suitable peer-reviewed papers.
