Note: This session will be held in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

Session chairs:
Jorge Macías (grupo EDANYA) – Universidad de Málaga

Description:
This session aims to collect contributions in the field of mathematical modeling and numerical simulation of processes that take place in the marine environment, both from the point of view of developing new models and their application to real situations. Among these applications are flows in oceans, seas and coastal regions, sediment transport, storm-surges or tsunamis, transport and dispersion of pollutants, coupling between hydrodynamics and biological processes, among others.
Aims:
The objective is to make known tools for numerical simulation in the marine environment and that these can be used on a daily basis among researchers in this area.
